What is a Chair?
Chairs are the leaders of a UN committee session, and help to ensure the debate progresses well to successfully resolve all topics in the committee.​
What are the responsibilities of a Chair?

Write the background guides for their committee within the deadlines and abiding by the structure recommended by the Secretariat

Correct all position papers, taking plagiarism into consideration

Motivate and support delegates with positive feedback before, during and after the conference

Be knowledgeable of the rules of procedure.

Conduct the committee in a fair and professional manner

Be neutral towards any institution and/or delegates through the conference

Act as judges for deciding which delegates deserve awards
* Chairs are provided lunch, coffee and entrance to social events and do not pay a fee
